TOMOKO is an international singer songwriter originally from Japan, the host of the podcast “Songwriters Room”, and the creator of “One Minute JapaNEWS” series on YouTube. TOMOKO’s music depicts her life between the Land of the Rising Sun and her journey of living in the USA, expertly blending Eastern spiritualism and American music style, art and entertainment. TOMOKO was tender 9 years old when Stevie Wonder’s masterpiece, “Songs in the Key of Life” changed her perspective on music and songwriting forever. TOMOKO has brought her unique style of “east meets west” into live performances both in Japan and America, including Blue Note New York. She has appeared on BET 106&Park, Soul Train, and NBC Christmas in Rockefeller Center. She was the host and producer of the monthly showcase “Asian Entertainment Night” which was a packed house in west village NYC, spotlighting Asian entertainers. Working with the world-renowned finest musicians and producers such as Wycliffe Gordon, Bakithi Kumalo, and Jammes Nova, TOMOKO has created an electric and eclectic collection “NO GEISHA”, including her sensual bossa nova debut single “Love Me”. She is currently writing her first book “My JapaNEWS”, and about to embark on her new podcast “Songwriters Room” on YouTube this week.
